SAD DAY

Just after we got home from Christmas, our computer had a case of the flu..........a really bad one apparently. Our hard drive crashed, and we lost all our pictures, most of Kyri. We only have the ones that we have posted on our blog so we are pretty sad about it. I guess we learned our lesson to save our pictures in a different place than on the computer. Word to the Wise........don't save your pictures only on your computer!

Oh that really stinks, like bad!! I always worry about that happening to our computer, because ours acts so weird sometimes okay most of the time. That's smart advice to save things in a different place other than the computer. We have all of our pics only on our computer too. I'll have to do something about that. Sorry that happened, hope you can recover some of the pics maybe your family has some of Kyri.

Mauri, I feel your pain...seriously. Sometime between Thanksgiving and Christmas I had a hard drive crash. I used to be diligent in saving everything on the external hard drive, and then again onto CDs, but when I got overloaded with work, burning CDs became too time consuming. So, after exhausting all of our own efforts in fixing it, we have reluctantly realized we are going to have to send it to get the data recovered from it. It can be quite pricey, but you should look into it. The places I talked to had very high recovery rates, and you only pay if they get the data for you. Sorry such a long response, but I am totally in the same boat!! Let me know if you want more info...and good luck!!!

I am so sorry:( I definantly have sympathy for you on this....we lost Paiges baby pics that same way. It is a good thing that I scrapbook because that is all that we have of her as a baby. I agree with the above blog! Try and get them recovered....they are so priceless!!!!

This is so sad--thanks for the heads up. I've been meaning to save my pics somewhere else. I'm going to do it as soon as I get home.

Oh that stinks so bad. I have lost some of my pictures like that but with a flash drive. Now I usually order my prints from walmart. So I upload them to their site and order them over the internet. They keep all the pictures you upload for years in your account.

I'm so sorry about the pictures! What a tragedy, truly. Andy is a hardcopy nazi with our picutres. At first I thought he was crazy, but the more we hear about people having cameras stolen and computers crashing, the more grateful I am he's the way he is. We take the picutres, put the "protect" on them so they can't be deleted from the SD card, save them to the computer and a CD, but then we also never erase our SD cards. When it's full of pictures we just buy a new one--~$30. Maybe you don't need to go so far as saving in all those places, but one or two might help. Kyri is such a doll! How's the pregnancy?

That is sad, but I'm glad that is as sad as it gets. I was worried at first.
