The Best 3 Years

Happy Anniversary!!
To the love of my life:

"Someone to hold you, and love you, and know that they're yours forever
Someone who wants you and needs you sharing your lives together
Love when it's true will make one out of two
and with all of my heart I want to be one with you

You are my sunrise, my blue skies, with plenty of sun to warm me
You are my shelter, my rainbow, whenever it's dark and stormy
All my dreams have come true since my love has found you
And when I look in your eyes, I know that you love me too

You're my best friend, and I want to spend the rest of our lives together
You're my best friend, my lover and there's nothing that could be better
than to

Hold you and love you, and give you all of of the joy you've lived for
When you're with me you lift me, you fill me, and you make me want to give more
And from inside of you so much beauty comes through
And it shines through your eyes, keeping our love oh so new

You're my best friend, and I want to spend the rest of our lives together
You're my best friend, my lover and there's nothing that could be better
You're my best friend, oh please can't we spend the rest of our lives together
'Cause when I hold you and look in your eyes
I know that there's nothing better...for me"
-Author Unknown...to me-

3 years ago I said that I wanted to be with you FOREVER!
3 years later and nothing has changed
The day we got married was the hottest day of the year....sweat running down from my armpits to my bellybutton....or was it to my toes?! Definitely a day I shall never forget
Good thing I made you wear your flip flops :)
Could we be any cuter?!
A favorite part of our favorite day
So Happy Together
3 years later, 2 kids later, and many memories later we are spending the day at the zoo. Looks as though Graysen is enjoying it far more than any other baby!
And the bear was tearing up a box....fascinating....to only you and me since Kyri was beyond tired...as always when we go anywhere!
We are both in dire need of a haircut and you can't see the animal in the cage behind us....what were we thinking taking a picture at such a time?!
We must have been thinking that it doesn't matter what we look like or what you can (or can't) see behind us, but that we are together...and that is truly the only thing that matters!!

Thank you for the sweetest gift: a message for me to open every day of the year from now until our next anniversary.

Gary, I LOVE LOVE LOVE you!!

I Kneel To Pray Every Day

Kyri used to always just sit when we would say prayers. Only recently has she started kneeling and we think it is just SO cute!

A Girl After My Own Heart

Tonight when Kyri was in the tub I heard, "need it...need it...I need that...chocolate...I need chocolate." Yep, that's my girl!!
Here she is, fast asleep with a toy on her arm

Kyri's pretty good at pronouncing most words. She even enunciates really well. But there's a few things she doesn't say quite right. One of my favorites recently is "stool". We have a couple of them and she loves standing on them so she can see anything and everything that's going on. Her pronunciation, "soofer". I have no clue where she came up with it, but it cracks me up every time!

What we've been up to:

Here's a few (ok, several) pictures to let you see what we've been up to lately. I totally skipped posting about our Allen Family Reunion which was the middle of June. I hope to one day (better late than never) get that posted, but decided to not get too far behind and catch up with what's been going on as of late.

seriously CUTE!! On July 1st Kyri's cousins got to come and play for the day. Thanks, Tam, for letting us borrow them! We had SO much fun! And Kyri still talks about them...I think she misses their crazy boy-ness. You guys can come play ANYtime!!

Here's Kyler, Kalen, and Cameron chillin' in the pool.

Kyri checkin on the boys

Gary and the kids settling down for a nice movie. Although, I think they were all slightly irritated with Kyri because she only sat still for about 2 minutes.

Kyri's new big girl bed. She LOVES it! And has only fallen out once :)

We had a fabulous 4th of July! Unfortunately, Gary had to work. So, I took the 2 kids to the parade by myself. (If you know much about my life with 2 kids you know this is quite an accomplishment for me....I don't take my 2 kids anywhere except on walks) Graysen slept through the whole parade and Kyri LOVED the horses the MOST! She even got a few candies! Then after Gary got home from work we walked over to the little carnival they have. I looked at jewelry in the booths while Kyri played on the FREE blow up toys. Then we got a snowcone to top things off. That night we went over to the high school (about a block away) to watch fireworks. We could have seen them from our house (obviously) but wanted to really experience them. They woke Graysen right up, but he watched them intently. Kyri loved them, even though she got distracted by her surroundings. All in all it was a great day had by all.

Here's Kyri sleeping with her glow stick bracelet and necklace the girl sitting by us gave her. She actually fell out of bed this night...she is a wild sleeper! But really loves her new bed.

Kyris 4th of July outfit she wore to church Sunday. Cutest girl in nursery!!

Here's Kyri with messy hair...and just being silly with some glasses we found in a box from her cousins.

they don't come any cuter than this!

Kyri playing in her pool....fully clothed

and I don't know how blog appropriate this is, but I couldn't resist! I took Kyri's sopping wet clothes off and before I could get her into the house she was back into the pool with nothing on but her flip flops and hat! I love this girl!

Another day in the sun...well, shade...Graysen loves being outside!

splashin' in the pool
no words necessary...

Kyri: sneeze ("achoooey") still Kyri: "bless you, Kyri!!"

A favorite Kyri phrase, "oopsy doopsy!"

I love that Kyri is starting to use her imagination. Lately when she eats strawberries they turn into frogs! "Ribbit!"

Last night we were just finishing up dinner. Kyri was still sitting at the table with just a tiny bit left on her plate. I was standing at the sink, with my back turned to her. I hear from Kyri, "hoppertopper...hoppertopper (in case you missed it from a previous post that translates into 'helicopter')...higher...higher!!" Then I hear, "oooohhh gross!!!" At this point I decide I should turn around and see what's going on. Sure enough, it was gross. Mushrooms all over in her hair!
