cousins, cousins, and more cousins!!

Since Gary and I both come from fairly large families, we have the joy of seeing them grow...oh so fast!! On Gary's side of the family his brother's wife, Amber, just had a baby boy yesterday, Teegan. And he is precious (even though I know pictures do babies no justice...we wish we could see and hold him!) And another brother's wife, Cassidy, is expecting a girl April 15th. On my side of the family my brother's wife, Nichole, had a boy in December, Zane. (another precious baby, but this one I have actually seen and held) My sister, Tawn is having a girl May 26th. And the other day my brother called and asked "When is your baby due?" I told him April 28th and then asked why he wanted to know. He said "Because we're going to have a baby before you!!" They are adopting a baby girl due April 4th! So, as you can see we have much to be happy about as our families keep growing. Our good friends that live here in Kaysville just had a baby boy, Quinn, on Valentine's Day. (I finally got to meet, hold, and snuggle him for the first time today! Adorable!) And they are close enough to be called family, so we will take advantage of our time with them! We just wish we lived closer to all our family so all the cousins could have a good time! love you all!!

Smarter Than The Average

Kyri is just getting to be oh so big! It's been a while since we've done an update on her...and she's had some pretty good tricks up her sleeve for about that long....Every day we can't wait to hear the new words she will say and the funny things she will do. What a joy our little angel has been!! One of our favorites is when we ask her how old she is. She will hold up her finger and say "ONE!" She has also started counting and counts anything she can, but can't seem to get past 2....that #3 is a bit tricky. "1, 2, 1, 2, 1..." Another thing we love is whenever Kyri throws a ball, sees a ball, talks about a ball, or you ask her what a ball does she will say "whoosh!" We laugh every time and I think it's mostly because this isn't something we taught her, she just came up with it on her own. Cheeky baby!

I have decided Gary must work too much. Whenever I ask Kyri where daddy is she ALWAYS says "work", even if he's just in the other room! But when daddy is working at home, she will definitely be sure to join him! Here they are putting together our new dresser/change table. You can see how helpful she's being.

double checking daddy's work

nice shades!! and nice pose!! what a model!

Kyri found Gary's hat, put it on and said "Mama!!" Good thing I had the camera close by because that is just too cute! (and she knows it!)

Our start to potty training. What better way than to sit on the toilet with a couple babies to help the process? By the look on her face I think it's working...

quite pleased with being such a big girl!!

good luck baby dolls!!

Kyri has started pointing out everything we say...and DO! Whenever Gary burps she will say "burp", but for some reason she usually adds "mama".....interesting. Whenever she hears a baby crying she will say "baby. wah wah." We call her our little copy cat, so of course she will then say "cat. meow meow." She is clearly smart beyond her months and we just look forward to each new day we get to spend with her!
