Stansbury Days Triathlon

Thanks to my awesome Dad and some competitive motivation from my boss and co-worker, I completed my first Triathlon.  The experience was absolutely amazing and I loved it.  I predict there will be more to follow.

We started at 7 in the morning with the swim.  The lake was comfortably warm and I did better in the swim than I had expected for only swimming once before the triathlon.

My Dad is like a little fish in the water.  He was one of the first few out of the water.

Transition from the swim to bike....an area I will definitely need to work on for the next one.

My super fan's.  I couldn't have done it without you!  My Mom, Sister and her boys, as well as my cousin Kristy and her family all came out to cheer on my Dad and I.

My bike to run transition was much faster.

Coming through the finish line.  I was actually feeling really good at the end.

Waiting for my Dad to come through.

Great job Dad!  You did awesome!

Me with my co-worker and boss.   It was fun to have Scott and Brady in the race and to keep me going.

The four of us.  Dad, Scott, Me, Brady.

Thanks again Pops for getting me "hooked"

With the family after it was over!

The triathlon really was such a fun experience and neat environment.  Both my dad and I each took 3rd place in our respective age divisions.  Now, time to get ready for the next one.   With this being my first   triathlon, I now have a time I can try and beat in the future.

More Family Reunions

This summer has been super busy, but it has been fun busy!  We attended a couple of family reunions the past few weeks.  One with Mauri's Mom's (Rich Family) side of the family, and one with my Mom's (Steadman Family) side of the family.  They were both a lot of fun!

Fun game we played at the Rich reunion.  We had to catch rubber chicken's in these awesome pants that were slingshot up in the air.

Great Grandma and Great Grandpa Hansen dancing together while we celebrated her 90th birthday, even though it is actually in October!

Tanzi all packed in and ready for the hike!

Miraya and Morgan were super helpers for Kyri and Graysen.

It was a really pretty hike.

The kids did really awesome.

Mauri and Graysen sportin' the shades!

This was really cool where the water for stream was actually coming right out of the mountain side.

They wanted to get in the water really bad, but we didn't want to hear them complain the whole way down the trail about how cold they were afterwards.

Fit like a snug bug.

Cute one with the little miss.

The Steadman reunion was at my Uncle Lynn's house in Raft River, ID.  He has the most amazing place with a couple of huge waterslides, zip line, swings, enormous sand box, volleyball, mud football pit, candy cannon, horses, a waterfall, beautiful landscaping, and lots of room to run around and play.  This is the ideal place to have a family reunion and Uncle Lynn and Aunt Susan are the nicest people to just let others come play on all their toys for free.  We had some much fun and the kids loved it.

We thought Kyri and Graysen would be too shy to go down the slide without mommy or daddy.  After one time with us, they both wanted to go down on their tummies, backs, forwards, backwards, and every other imaginable way to go down these huge slides by themselves.  We couldn't pull them away from it.  It was cool to see them having so much fun!

Tanzi also had lots of fun, but we weren't ready to send her down by herself yet.....maybe next year!

The famous candy cannon.  Uncle Lynn fills it up with all kinds of candy and shoots it out all over the yard for the kids to run and get!  A family favorite!

Our kids have always loved to swing.  These ones were huge and you could get the kids going really high!

Tanzi showing us how much she loved it.

Our kids could have spent all day here, but we decided to wait until it was shaded because the sand was so hot.  Kyri and Gray love to dig in the sand while Tanzi likes to eat it!

Looks like Tanzi is growing some facial hair at a young age.

A good look at the slide and area.  This on is the smaller of the two.  The other one is a couple hundred feet longer, you can see it in distance.

Just had to go on the zip line.  You get moving pretty fast and was super fun.

These two reunion's were the last ones of the summer.  We look forward to next year when we get to have more family reunions to see family we haven't seen in a while and to have lots of fun!
