Well, today was a fairly uneventful day which is how we like it, unless the event includes getting some of those tubes out!
As you can see, Tanzi is still less than thrilled about the tubes in her mouth.
Actually for a little while she was REALLY not happy. In fact, Gary and I both commented on how it was the most we've heard her cry since she was born. So, I asked her nurse about her pain meds and she immediately gave Tanzi more. We have LOVED how the nurses don't just have a "job" to do, but they listen to us as parents. After getting some more medication Tanzi quickly calmed down....and we snuggled!
Just relaxing....it may not look too comfy, but she was out like a light!
And here you can see that they redressed her IV insertion. We got there just in time to watch it. And she didn't even make a peep! The nurses let us in on the secret of sucrose...yep, she's my girl...sugar makes ME calm too :)
Today Tanzi DID get a feeding tube. YEA more progress! It actually goes through the tube in her nose. So, it will go past her stomach and the stint and farther into her intestine to where she can start digetsing it...hopefully. They started her out on an extremely small amount of milk and will gradually give her more, depending on how her body reacts to it.
Just posing for the camera!

Thank you so much for keeping us all updated with Tanzi! It makes me smile to get to see you cuddling with her! YEAH for the feeding tube! I hope today brings more success for her as well! Love you guys!
I am so glad that she is doing so well. Thanks for the updates. I can't even look at the pictures without getting teared up thinking about your little girl and how you guys are doing. It sounds like you are holding up great which is such a blessing. Once again she is beautiful.
